A meeting of representatives of the Technical University Berlin and the Institute of technology was organized at the SPSIT-TU Resource Saving Technology Department during the SUMMER SCHOOL lecturing days held by professors of TUB from September, 12 till September, 14 2011.
A discussion was held on cooperation issues in educational process with the aim to enhance two universities collaboration, particularly, in the area of a double degree program for those attaining a Master degree and in the area of a double supervision for PhD students.
The Parties agreed on collaboration and academic exchange in the area of Chemical Technology for students, PhDs and lecturers.
The Parties are positive about tendencies in the collaboration between two universities and believe that the Agreement on a double degree program and a double PhD program is the next logical step towards an enhancement of partnership relations between TUB and SPSIT-TU.

Representatives of SPSIT under the leadership of vice-Rector on Science&Research Garabadzhiu A.V. attended the Innovations Forum Prospectives of Civilizations Development and Strategy of Partnership at World Universal Exhibition Expo-2010. The reports of our delegation were highly estimated, and the project Poseidon, Biodiesel Production Innovation Technology took the third prize (apart from Grand Prix) among 100 innovation projects from all over the world at the International Innovation Projects Competition. Congratulations!

There was a work meeting held in the Technological Institute with the Korean corporation HWANGSEUNG representatives’ participation. The company is interested in the implementation of our Institute scientific elaborations. During the discussion an agreement was achieved about the establishing a laboratory in the Institute for the purpose of scientific researches with consequential industrial use of the researches.

XVIII international conference on Display Materials Technology (EL) was held in the St. Petersburg State Technological Institute from 27 of September till 1 of October. EL 2010 follows a historical series of International Workshops which started in 1980 on Inorganic Electroluminescence, and expanded in 1988 to include Organic Electroluminescence. In 1995 the Conference on Display Phosphors was initiated. The two events merged in 2002, and since then they have been held biannually.
    
In 2010, just for one time the conference program will be merged with the Advanced Display Technologies series of conferences which are held every year in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The meeting covers all aspects of science and technology of inorganic and organic electroluminescence, phosphors and display devices and will include invites talks, contributed presentations and posters.

New “Laboratory for cement physic-chemical testing” was presented to Inorganic Compounds Chemical Technology Department.
Equipment for this laboratory was presented by the well-known in Russia German company Testing. Testing supplies testing cements equipment, water mortars and concretes to different countries.
The General Director of the corporation J.Feuerherdt attended the presentation as well as Russian Testing Department General Director Tiabina I.V., administration of our institute Garabadjiu A.V. and Naraev V.N. and representatives of the Department. | |
